FAQ · Direct answers
Questions, answered plainly.
The short versions. The thesis and research notes carry the long versions.
Is there a product?
No. Subtext is a research project. There is nothing to sign up for, buy or run.
Is this a privacy AI app?
No. It is a research direction about private context for agents. The chat-app shape is deliberately absent.
Do you log prompts?
There is no product and therefore no prompt pipeline. We do not claim no-logs for something that does not exist.
What is private context?
The memory, strategy, constraints and authority an agent uses — the thinking behind a transaction rather than the transaction itself.
Why Robinhood Chain?
It is being built for agents and real-world assets, which makes context privacy concrete rather than decorative. We build on it; we are not affiliated with it.
Will on-chain transactions be private?
No. Settlement staying public and auditable is part of the thesis. The research target is the context, not the ledger.
Is the token an investment?
The token is not launched and its role is not defined. It represents no equity, revenue, yield or claim on anything.
What is the token for?
That is deliberately unanswered. Inventing a utility to fill a page would be a claim we cannot support.
Do you have an audit?
No. We state that plainly and will say so until an audit exists.
What is attestation?
A signed hardware report proving computation ran where it claims. We explain it because our research references it; we claim none.
What is a TEE?
A trusted execution environment — hardware that hides computation from its operator. Same answer: referenced, not claimed.
What can I do now?
Read the thesis and the research notes, check the status page, and poke holes. Reviewers are the product of this phase.
Can developers contribute?
Yes — the open questions in each note are real. Disagree with the notes; that is useful.
What is the roadmap?
Stages with evidence gates, no dates. A stage moves only when its evidence exists.
Are you affiliated with Robinhood?
No. Not affiliated, not endorsed. The chain name describes where we build, nothing more.
